In the last few days we have received hundreds of emails asking how to help with the current situation in Tibet. At the DharmaShop we give to Tibetan charities each month, but during this crisis we are giving most of our money to two organizations. Tibet Fund and International Campaign for Tibet

International Campaign For Tibet has a 20-year record of achievement advancing the Tibetan cause - and the vision and leadership of the Dalai Lama - in the halls of Congress and in international forums. We strive to mobilize international goodwill in support of the Tibetan people. Our focus today is centered on working with governments to demonstrate meaningful support for Tibet, reaching out to Chinese all over the world, and monitoring conditions inside Tibet.
Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) works in solidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and independence. We are a chapter-based network of young people and activists around the world.
The Dharmashop School Project, a project to Build schools in Nepal with Room to Read. One of Our primary charters is to improve this environment by aiding with the construction of new schools and the repair of old ones.

In 1987 the Tibetan Nuns Project was founded to provide basic humanitarian aide to refugee nuns from Tibet.
The Tibetan Aid Project raises funds to support the shipment and distribution of priceless Tibetan texts and sacred art to Tibetans in Asia.
The Tibet Fund. Our primary mission is the preservation of the distinct cultural, religious and national identity of the Tibetan people.
Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide movement of people who campaign for internationally recognized human rights.
The Human Rights Campaign effectively lobbies Congress; mobilizes grassroots action in diverse communities; invests strategically to elect a fair-minded Congress; and increases public understanding through innovative education and communication strategies.
