This copal necklace looks very very similar to the amber necklaces selling for hundreds and hundreds of dollars in nepal right now.  Copal is 'young' amber.  Made from natural tree sap and it has the same properties of amber, just not the high cost.  White heart coral is dyed deep red to mimic the trade coral beads popular in asia.
