Just in from Kathmandu Nepal. This detailed and etherial thangka is hand painted by Tibetan thangka makers in Patan in the the Kathmandu valley in Nepal.

This unframed thangka is ready for western style framing. WE have a number of mandala thangkas framed in western frames in our home and they look truly amazing matted with two colors and a dark wood or gold frame.

And I own one, on canvas, incredible mastery, I feel very lucky, it's to my left at home, a glance away and brings Nepal to me, it's alive, it's brilliant colors lift me above myself.
