Our new line of Masterpiece statues are handmade by the shakya family in Kathmandu, Nepal. The family has been making statues for generations and create breathtaking Buddhist icons. This statue is 19 inches tall and weighs 25 pounds.
The Medicine Buddha is always shown with the right hand facing downward with fingers extended toward the ground, which signifies giving a blessing to mankind. The palm is facing outward toward the viewer, and a bowl of herbs rests in the left hand on the lap. Of all Buddhas, the Medicine Buddha is the highest possible model of a healer.
