We discovered these beads last year in Thailand. Monks make these beads using the same ceramics that they use to make thai amulets. Each bead is made by hand, stung on heavy cord and blessed with gold leaf.

Lovely beads!!

Beautiful beads at an amazing price!!
They have a nice weight to them and feel good in my hands - not too big, not too small. They are quite stiff when you first get them, but do NOT try to stretch the stringing material as it's stiff and will not stretch ... you will end up busting them! Just work the beads together in your hands to remove the little bits of ceramic/clay off between them and this loosens them up to where they are not nearly as tight.
They fit real good around my neck and also can be wrapped around my wrist, although their weight is such that I probably would not want them on my wrist long term.
Overall - I highly recommend these beads.

I had a set of these that were larger and loved them. These are great to carry around as they much smaller and perfect to count. The gold has not worn off the first one at all and I have had it for years.
