My husband purchased this mala for me as a gift...I love the feel of it, it has a very earthy solidity to it. When not using it, I leave it on my alter next to a stone Buddha...and every time I go by, it beckons to me. It's hard to look at it and not want to sit down with it again. It is beautiful to look at and touch.
I still need one that is smaller (I'm very tiny and this is a LARGE mala...very 'man sized') that I can wrap around my wrist to have where ever I go. This is much too large for wearing...but as a special, rather sacred alter mala, it is perfect!

Really wanted to get a new/good quality mala to chant with and fidget around with..so i looked around on the internet and in stores and found this. I am so glad i did because it is very very nice. Feels wonderful and it is put together very well. Not to flashy and expensive, just an all round good buy, that i know will last for years. Now it is big, i knew it was big getting it but it is BIG so if you plan on wearing it..its gonna be big and heavy...me i like the weight and size for what its made for..chanting, not wearing for fashion, i just wouldn't do that with a mala used for any religious use..your primary mala should be special and sacred and for that this couldn't be more perfect, but i would recommend a mala bag (i have one i like) and if you order the bag also...check to make sure it will fit first.
