Compassion Mantra Thangka

• The word thangka translates to "recorded message."  Thangka painting is an ancient Tibetan Buddhist art form that combines deities, symbolism, and sacred geometry.

This thangka is decorated with the mantra of compassion, Om Mani Padme Hum mantra in lotus petals, with the seed, Hrih, in the center.  Hrih, is the seed syllable of Amitabha.   The Om Mani mantra invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion.

Each detail is painted by hand on cotton canvas using natural mineral and vegetable pigments with 24K gold accents.  The intricate brushstrokes and extraordinary detail make these thangkas genuine works of art.  It comes unframed and ready for Western style framing of your choosing.
