An amazingly cool mala.  Classic rudraksha beads with sterling silver counters and a large naga shell guru bead.

The naga/conch shell represents the fame of the Buddha's teaching which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet.  It is a symbol which fearlessly proclaims the truth of the dharma.

Measures approximately 22 inches around.  Contains 7mm rudraksha beads.  Handmade in Nepal.

Small Old Rudraksha Bead and Naga Shell Mala

They say you should always give a gift of something you yourself would like. Having read the description and based on the review, I purchased as a gift for someone far and dear to my heart. It is a great size mala, easily taken with you either in a small bag, pocket or wrapped around wrist and held in hand, even a small hand and wrist it fits comfortably without being cumbersome. Detailing in this Mala is not lost with its size. Each bead has character of its own, the Naga shell soft and cool to the touch and the counters are exquisite.

    A Great Buy

This mala turned out to be a great buy for me. The smaller sized, dark, worn beads are beautiful and feel like they are ancient. Since I make malas myself, I bought this one to restring. Substituted in a larger size rudraksha for the guru bead and knotted the beads for a little more finished length and easier bead counting. Hint: the value of the sterling counters alone makes this a great value for money.
