Lost Collection of Antique Singing Bowls 06

  |
  • This one-of-a-kind museum quality antique Tibetan singing bowl comes from the personal collection of a Tibetan artifacts collector we have worked and traded with for two decades.
  • We were contacted after he located a missing box of rare, authentic, antique Himalayan singing bowls that we had inquired about almost 10 years ago.  We are honored to offer these once lost bowls to our DharmaShop community.
  • This collector has been traveling Asia and the Himalayas for over 30 years.  Locating bowls of this quality takes a considerable amount of time and skill.  This collection of is estimated to be between 100-400 years old!

This special, museum quality Mani singing bowl features a unique shape with thick, inward sloping walls.  Mani shaped bowls are very distinct.  They tend to be heavier, more substantial bowls with thick walls and flat bottoms.  "Mani" in Tibetan means "jewel," and these bowls are known for their higher, jewel-like tone.

Each singing bowl from the Lost Collection features a unique identification number that links it to the rare antique collection.  In this case, it can be seen on the outer rim of the bowl.

Tibetan singing bowls are said to promote relaxation, harmony, and offer many healing properties including chakra balancing.  A great partner in meditation, yoga, chakra clearing exercises, and sound healing.  Antique singing bowls are highly sought after for their rich tones and unique physical characteristics.

Bowl rings at a C# note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This resonates with the Root Chakra, which is situated at the base of or tail end of the spine.  It is the foundation of the physical body; it stimulates vital forces throughout our body and assists in keeping us grounded to the earth.

Measures approximately 6.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep.

All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
