Buddha Under Bodhi Tree Statue

• This Buddha statue is a one-of-a-kind master work  handmade in Kathmandu by a family of artisans who have been making these traditional style bronze statues for many generations.
• An extremely rare design, it features a meditating Buddha seated under a Bodhi tree, or the Tree of Enlightenment, with peacocks resting in the canopy.
• Made using the lost wax method which takes considerable time and skill.  After casting, each statue is hand detailed and carved.  Finally, the statue is polished and inlaid with turquoise, lapis, and coral color mosaic pieces.

Tree of Life, also known as the Tree of Enlightenment, symbolizes many things including wisdom, protection, strength, bounty, beauty, and redemption.

Measures approximately 10 inches tall, 5 inches wide at the base, and 8.5 inches wide at the branches.
