Bodhi Seed beads can be used for counting all types of mantras as well as other prayers. These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom. "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.

Our Buddha beads are made by Thai monks, who also create the popular small ceramic Buddha amulets to support their local wats (temples). Each bead is molded by hand with a simple Buddha image, then gently colored and blessed as part of a ceremonial process. During the blessing, 24-karat gold leaf is applied, a finish meant to wear away over time. As the gold softens and fades with use, it becomes a quiet reminder that practice isn’t about preservation, but growth.
