Green Tara Goddess Singing Bowl

  |

PAIR IT WITH

  • The DharmaShop team here in Michigan worked for almost a year with the singing bowl artisans in Kathmandu to create this exclusive etched Green Tara bowl!  Handcrafted by 4th and 5th generation singing bowl masters.
  • Each bowl requires an incredible amount of time and skill to create, therefore this style is limited.  Every piece is hand hammered and polished before being etched with extraordinary detail.
  • Inside features an intricate Green Tara design with lotus flowers surrounded by mantras.  Double dorje symbols decorate the outside of the bowl, and an Eternal Knot sacred geometric design grounds the base.

Green Tara is known as the Buddha of enlightened activity.  She is the fiercer form of Tara, but is still a savior-goddess of compassion.  Green Tara is intensely compassionate and acts quickly to help those who call upon her.

According to Tibetan lamas, chanting the Green Tara mantra, "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha," with positive and pure intentions can help to bring an abundance of blessings in your life.  This mantra translates to: "I prostrate to the Liberator, Mother of all the Victorious Ones".

The double dorje represents that which cannot be destroyed, but which destroys all evil.  It is considered an emblem of protection.

The Eternal Knot has special meaning throughout many cultures and can serve as a reminder of interconnectedness and unity.  It is one of the 8 Auspicious Symbols that represents the intertwining of wisdom and compassion.
