This is by far one of the most extraordinary antique bodhi seed malas we've ever carried! It was hard not to keep it within our personal collection, but we figured it's too great not to share! The one-of-a-kind antique monk's mala is made with some of the tiniest and most exquisite bodhi seed beads we've ever seen! At about 8-9mm, they are flat on each end in the traditional manner and feature a beautiful shine. Mala also includes a set of antique Tibetan bell and dorje counters and a naga shell focal bead.
Bodhi seed beads can be used for counting all types of mantras and prayers. These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom. "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.
Mala measures 26 inches around. Bodhi beads are about 8-9mm. Made in Nepal.
