- Each bowl was hand selected in Nepal for their amazing quality of sound by DharmaShop founder, Sander Cohen. These are some of the best singing bowls he has ever seen or played!
This bowl was handmade during and directly under the light of the Harvest Moon in September of 2019. The Harvest moon carries a very spiritual energy and meaningful message. It represents a fresh start as we enter a new season. It is a full moon that offers healing as we let go of the past and embrace new beginnings.
Associated with the autumnal equinox, the Harvest Moon is not like any other full moon. It rises at sunset, creating an abundance of light earlier in the evening for farmers harvesting their summer crops. As each bowl is handcrafted under the Harvest Moon's light, it is imbued with an illuminating energy of transformation.
Each bowl features gorgeous hand carved details including an exclusive full moon singing bowl stamp, an original makers mark, and the mantra of compassion in Tibetan script. The mantra invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. The full moon singing bowl stamp is also known as the symbol of longevity and happiness.
Bowl rings at a D note when struck with a woolen mallet. This note resonates with the Sacral Chakra. This energy is the center for creating relationships of all kinds. It is where we develop an inward sense of self and an outward awareness of others.
Measures approximately 5.75 inches in diameter and is about 3 inches deep. Comes with a traditional wooden striker. Cushion sold separately.
All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
