This bowl was handmade during and directly under the light of the Harvest Moon in September of 2019. The Harvest moon carries a very spiritual energy and meaningful message. It represents a fresh start as we enter a new season. It is a full moon that offers healing as we let go of the past and embrace new beginnings.
Associated with the autumnal equinox, the Harvest Moon is not like any other full moon. It rises at sunset, creating an abundance of light earlier in the evening for farmers harvesting their summer crops. As each bowl is handcrafted under the Harvest Moon's light, it is imbued with an illuminating energy of transformation.
Each bowl features gorgeous hand carved details including an exclusive full moon singing bowl stamp, an original makers mark, and the mantra of compassion in Tibetan script. The mantra invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. The full moon singing bowl stamp is also known as the symbol of longevity and happiness.
This bowl also features a special etched Buddha image! On the inside and outside base of the bowl, a light hand etched image of a seated Buddha can be seen. This very special addition was made by a thangka painting artisan during the crafting process.
Bowl rings at a C note when struck with a woolen mallet. This resonates with the Root Chakra, which is situated at the base of or tail end of the spine. It is the foundation of the physical body; it stimulates vital forces throughout our body and assists in keeping us grounded to the earth.
Measures approximately 10 inches in diameter and is about 4.25 inches deep. Comes with a traditional wooden striker. Cushion sold separately.
All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
