Hands of the Buddha Antique Singing Bowl

  • This antique singing bowl was acquired from one of our favorite singing bowl experts and sound healer, Mangal Man.  He is a singing bowl artist that specializes in sound healing as well as collecting antique singing bowls.
  • DharmaShop co-founder, Christy Cohen, hand picked this unique bowl from a stunning and superior collection of antique bowls from Mangal's collection in Kathmandu.
  • This beautifully aged antique singing bowl has a rare and unusual shape referred to as a Buddha bowl.  It's truly a one-of-a-kind bowl with gorgeous signs of age and wear including some natural patina.  With its unique shape and a rich tone, it shows and sings beautifully.

The unique shape of this bowl is very similar to what you can see depicted in the hands of the Buddha.  We were so excited to see and play this style of bowl in person, as they are incredibly rare.  Buddha bowls are highly sought after by collectors and practitioners alike due to their shape creating a sound quality like no other!

This one-of-a-kind bowl features a beautiful dark gold exterior with visible lines and dotted hash marks around the rim.  Natural patina can be seen on the inside and outside of the bowl.  It's a great addition to any collection.

Bowl rings at an E note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This note resonates with the Solar Plexus chakra.  Located at the center of the body, it is the place where physical energy is distributed.  It is the center for unrefined emotions and personal power, and the center that give us the sense of complete satisfaction and contentment.

Measures approximately 6.5 inches in diameter and is about 5.25 inches deep. Buddha Mallet sold separately.

All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
