- This amazing bodhi seed mala was purchased directly by our team on their last trip to Kathmandu. These are by far some of the smallest antique bodhi beads we've seen in years!
- Made of 108 small, well used dark bodhi beads with a subtle red tint. Each bead is rich in color with a beautiful sheen. Strung on yellow cord with long simple dangles in the traditional manner. The stringing is slightly loose, making it great for counting mantras.
- These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom. "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.
On their trip to Nepal in March, DharmaShop owner, Christy Cohen, with our photographer and product specialist, Erica, acquired this mala from a Tibetan gentleman in the ancient city of Bhaktapur. He had a small, yet beautiful collection of vintage and antique bodhi malas from which Christy and Erica were able to source a few special pieces.
Mala measures approximately 40 inches around. Beads are about 9-10mm. Includes vintage mala bag from Nepal.
