• Among the most extraordinary beads in our collection, this Ancient Phum Dzi represents both history and spiritual power. Phum are believed to be the earliest form of Dzi, considered some of the most powerful and sacred beads because of their connection to the origins of Dzi culture.
• This bead was one of two we selected from a trusted husband-and-wife artisan team from Nepal who specialize in authentic Tibetan artifacts. We first met them at a gem show in Arizona and later reconnected when they came to Michigan to share a small, handpicked collection of true ancient beads with us. We chose only these two Ancient Phum Longevity Dzi for their exceptional quality, age, and presence.

Each of the two beads has it's own unique character: this bead is slightly larger than others in our collection and radiates a warm caramel brown tone with a soft, light Longevity design. Its agate body shows areas of translucent banding and the surface is full of visible texture and wear — small cracks and dents, which do not affect the bead's structure, speak to its thousands of years of history and use.

The Longevity motif symbolizes long life, health, and protection. Its message is timeless — a blessing for the owner to experience vitality and peace throughout life.

Estimated to be between 2,000-3,000 years old, this is a true artifact that has passed through generations and journeys across Asia. Each mark of wear and layers of surface texture are details that just can't be replicated in modern beads and are what make them so rare and meaningful today.
