Himalayan Stoneware Mug - Marigold

• A fresh take on our Himalayan Stoneware Mugs, handcrafted in the ancient pottery district of Bhaktapur, Nepal. Made by the same family-operated artisan group we've worked with for years, this new 14oz design brings a modern twist to a beloved piece of Himalayan craftsmanship.
• A beautiful muted golden yellow with a unique speckled finish. Our artisans used their traditional Stone and Soot glazes to create delicate white and black speckles across the entire mug, adding visual texture to both the warm Marigold glaze and natural clay base.
• Designed in collaboration with our artisans, this mug features a subtle bubble design built right into the walls of the mug. It gives the piece a fun, modern shape without losing the handmade look and feel of traditional Nepalese pottery.

Some of our favorite products come from taking something we already love and asking, what if we tried something a little different?

Our original Himalayan Stoneware Mugs have become a staple in the DharmaShop office, and we wanted to build on everything we loved about them while creating something new. We worked closely with our ceramics artisans to develop a larger, more contemporary mug with softly rounded walls and a warm Marigold glaze inspired by the golden Marigold flowers found throughout Nepal.

This new color-way brings a little warmth and brightness to your everyday morning ritual. The finishing touch is an entirely new speckled treatment. The subtle white and black flecks bring movement and character to the surface, emphasizing the handmade nature of every piece.

Hand-thrown from locally sourced red clay on a traditional potter's wheel and dried beneath the Himalayan sun, each mug is finished with our DharmaShop stamp on the bottom — a small reminder of the collaboration, care, skill, and artistry behind every part of the process that brought this clay to life.

Color:

Marigold is a warm, muted golden-yellow glaze inspired by the marigold flowers found throughout Nepal, with delicate Stone and Soot speckles scattered across the entire mug, including its natural Himalayan clay base. 14 oz size.

Stone is a creamy white glaze with warm undertones. Soot is black in color with a hint of earthy undertones. The bottom portion of the mug showcases the natural Himalayan clay. 10 oz size.

Care:

Each mug is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. However, we recommend hand-washing as it will extend the life of your pottery.

Size:

Marigold measures about 4" at the base, 3.75" at the top, and is 3.5" tall.

Soot & Stone measures 3.5" at the base, 2.75" at the top, and is 3.5" tall.
