Chris is the guy who basically keeps DharmaShop moving, so when he came into the office one morning and said he'd had a dream about tying a bunch of prayer flags together until they stretched for an entire mile, the immediate reaction was basically: that is completely insane... and also, can we do that?

A mile is a very long way when you actually stop and think about it. But the more we talked about hundreds of Windhorse flags stretching across a huge event, retreat center, or mountainside, the more we loved the idea.

The truth is, none of it would have been possible without our artisan partners in Nepal. We can dream up all the wild ideas we want here in Michigan, but they are the ones who actually figure out how to make them real. Turning 250 strands of prayer flags into one continuous mile-long piece and working through the sheer scale of it is such a testament to the skill, patience, and craftsmanship behind their work.

Our One Mile Long Prayer Flags feature the five traditional colors and classic Windhorse design, carrying prayers and Auspicious Symbols intended to spread compassion, peace, strength, and goodwill as the wind moves through them.

Set includes ~6,000+ flags that measure about 9.5 inches tall and 9 inches wide. Full strand measures one mile long. Made of polyester.
