Palo santo has long been cherished around the world for its purifying smoke and grounding aroma. But as global demand has surged, so have concerns about sustainability and responsible sourcing. At DharmaShop, we believe that every product we share should not only support you and your spiritual practice but also honor the planet and the artisans who bring these traditions to life.
That’s why our “Palo Santo” incense isn’t made with palo santo wood at all. Instead, it’s crafted in the Himalayas with a thoughtful blend of herbs, woods, flowers, and spices—ingredients that are both abundant and deeply rooted in the region’s heritage.

The truth is simple: palo santo trees are slow-growing, and with demand skyrocketing, many forests have faced overharvesting and ecological strain. For us, it didn’t feel right to contribute to that cycle. Rather than cutting corners or hiding behind the name, we wanted to be transparent—our Palo Santo collection is inspired by the spirit of palo santo, but made in a way that protects what we love most: the land, the culture, and the community.
Each stick in this collection is handmade in Nepal by skilled artisans using locally sourced botanicals. Himalayan juniper, sandalwood, aromatic spices, and wildflowers come together to create smoke that feels just as cleansing, grounding, and uplifting as palo santo. It’s not a replica—it’s a reimagination. The fragrance is layered, complex, and infused with the energy of the mountains.
When you light one, you’re not only connecting with your own intention, but also supporting sustainable practices and artisan traditions that stretch back generations.

Whether you burn incense to clear your space, deepen meditation, or mark a moment of transition, our Himalayan Palo Santo–inspired incense is designed to be a daily reminder: transformation is always possible, and small, mindful choices matter. By choosing this incense, you honor your own practice while helping protect sacred resources for future generations
