Skull Mala 108 White Bone Beads

3   |

These very long malas are quite striking.  They are made of water buffalo bone hand carved to look like skulls.  Features a red rayon tassel.

A note about bone beads:  Tibetan nomadic life is hard, and in the cold there is little to eat.  Water buffalo is a main staple in Nepal and Tibet and when an animal is used for food nothing is wasted.  These amazing bone beads are hand inlaid by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.

Measures approximately 53-55 inches in circumference.  Contains 12mm by 8mm beads.  Each mala varies as the beads are a natural material carved by hand.

Wonderful!

I got these beads a week ago, and I love them! They are beautiful and well-made. They were rather stiff at first, but the cord relaxed and now they're more flexible and comfortable to wear. I look forward to including them in my practice, and thanks again for the fantastic customer service and the opportunity to support the Tibetan community. Thanks, and blessings to all!

Scott, thank you for your feedback and kind words! We're so excited to hear that you're enjoying your skull mala. The skull in Buddhism is often recognized as a symbol of impermanence so we hope this mala serves a great purpose in your life. We appreciate you taking the time to write a review and thank you for supporting Himalayan artisans!

Absolutely beautiful!

These are absolutely awesome! As soon as i received them, i opened the package and was blown away. I immediately sent them off to have them blessed by HHTDL... I have them on my shrine "also all purchased here", and love them all!
