Bone and Skull Impermanence Wrist Mala

  |
  • A DharmaShop best seller, this wrist mala was inspired by our 108 bead impermanence mala that has been a customer favorite for almost a decade!
  • Made with naturally stained water buffalo bone beads and 2 carved bone skull accents, this bracelet is an amazing way to reflect on impermanence in your daily practice.
  • The skull in Buddhism is often recognized as a symbol of impermanence.  It is a powerful reminder to be here now and to live in the present moment; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.

A note about bone beads:  In the Himalayas, it is typical for large animals such as yak or water buffalo to be used for service, food, clothing, and ritual items.  Given the limited amount of resources and the religious practices of the people in the region, it is important that none of the animal goes to waste.  These amazing bone beads are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.

Adjustable wrist mala is available in two sizes.  Small measures just under 6.75 inches around when fully tightened and opens to about 9 inches.  Large measures 7.75-8 inches around when fully tightened and opens to 9-10 inches.  Beads are about 8mm, skull beads are 10-12mm long.  Handmade in Nepal.
