Tibetan Sky Bowl

• This singing bowl is handcrafted in Kathmandu exclusively for DharmaShop and features a golden finish with contrasting etched Tibetan cloud designs.
• Many magical cloud formations can be found in Tibetan art. The main cloud design seen on the inside base of the bowl is inspired by a hand-painted design that adorn vintage Tibetan furniture inside our DharmaShop office.
• A cloud can take any shape, having the potential to be anything.  There is a beautiful freedom and that comes from understanding that our reality is as fluid and ever-changing as the sky.

The sky is infinite, immaculate, and full of possibility.  Clouds may come and go across the sky just as thoughts and distractions pass through our mind, yet the pure clarity of the sky remains unchanged.  Air is an active energy that carries an essence of intelligence and intuition.  Many people believe that air is the element that best represents spirituality, as it is something we can feel but cannot see.

Bowl rings at about a G# note when struck with a woolen mallet.  This note resonates with the Throat Chakra.  It influences communication, dreaming, artistic expression, good judgment, self-belief, wisdom, and truthfulness.  When the Throat Chakra is balanced, it allows for free communication, helping us to feel centered and happy.  Because each bowl is handmade, the note may vary slightly from bowl to bowl.
