Tibetan nomadic life is hard, and in the cold there is little to eat. Water buffalo is a main staple in Nepal and Tibet and when an animal is used for food, nothing is wasted. These amazing beads are hand inlaid by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.

So pleased with this mala

I read that you should pick the mala that speaks to you and this one did. I looked at so many, but always came back to this one. It was so well pictured that it was wonderful to see it looks the same in person. I'm so happy to have found the DharmaShop online now that I live in a place where such things aren't available.
