Available in two designs, one shell depicts an image of Medicine Buddha and the other features the Eight Auspicious Symbols with a Double Dorje in the center.  Conch shells with this level of etching and detail are difficult to come by and sell quickly whenever we are lucky enough to find them.

The naga/conch shell is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols and represents the fame of the Buddha's teaching which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet.  It is a symbol which fearlessly proclaims the truth of the dharma.

Medicine Buddha is the deity of compassion and healing.  He is believed to alleviate suffering for mental and physical illness.

In Buddhist legend, the Eight Auspicious Symbols represent offerings the gods made to the Buddha after his enlightenment.  It is believed that each of these symbols have powers to bring blessings.
