Blood Moon Bodhi Seed & Carnelian Wrist Mala

• DharmaShop founder, Sander Cohen sourced a small handful of stunning true carnelian bracelets in Nepal on his last visit.  As these sensational beads are very costly and rare, we chose to use them as accent beads for wrist malas.

The striking orange and red of natural carnelian set alongside dark bodhi seed was inspired by the Blood Moon in the night sky over Nepal on January 31st, 2018.  While the moon is in the earth's shadow, it takes on a red tint known as a Blood Moon.

Bodhi seed beads can be used for counting all types of mantras as well as other prayers.  These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom.  "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.

Carnelian promotes confidence and creativity, giving you the courage to make positive life choices.  It is believed to protect the wearer from negativity and restore self-esteem and happiness.  It is known as a stone of motivation and endurance, leadership and courage.

Adjustable wrist mala measures approximately 7 inches around when fully tightened and opens to about 10 inches.  Bodhi beads are 13-14mm, carnelian beads are 11-12mm.
