In addition to reflecting the handmade nature of the bowl, the hammer marks play a part in the sound and vibration of the bowl. Cast singing bowls, like the golden one in this set, have tones that are clear and crisp and easy to play. Because of this, they are great for a beginner or experienced practitioner.

After being hand hammered, the Fire bowl put back into fire at high temperatures before being brushed with a diluted sulfuric acid solution and immersed in water. This process gives parts of the bowl itself a rose-colored appearance when held in the light and creates a beautiful warm patina that will oxidize over time and with use. The more it is used and loved by you, each bowl will develop its own unique characteristics.
