12 Inch Auspicious Symbols Singing Bowl

Our new etched Tibetan singing bowl is incredibly detailed, and was hand picked in Kathmandu from a stunning collection of intricately carved singing bowls.  It is cast, hammered, polished, and etched entirely by hand.

The inside base of the bowl features a sacred geometry Flower of Life design with the repeated mantra of compassion in Tibetan script, Om Mani Padme Hum, decorating the inside rim.  The Flower of Life is one of the most important and sacred patterns in the universe and can be used as a tool for connecting during meditation.

The outside of the bowl depicts the 8 Auspicious Symbols.  In Buddhist legend, the 8 symbols represent offerings the gods made to the Buddha after his enlightenment.  It is believed that each of these symbols have powers to bring blessings for which people include these in paintings, textiles, homes, and wherever else possible.

The bottom of the bowl features a double dorje design that represents that which cannot be destroyed, but which destroys all evil.  It is considered an emblem of protection.

Bowl measures approximately 12 inches in diameter and is about 5 inches deep.  Handmade in Nepal.

All sound recordings are made by striking the bowl once with our Handcrafted Red Wool Mallet!
