This Pumtek features a traditional zig-zag or chevron pattern, with bold angular markings wrapping around the bead. While the original meaning of many Pumtek patterns has been lost over time, their long history as treasured and protective objects is a big part of what makes them so fascinating and sought after.

Your bead is part of an incredibly small collection of just 12 antique Pumtek beads we recently sourced through a trusted Tibetan antiques and bead collector we've worked with for well over a decade. He specializes in Tibetan Dzi, ancient agates, Pumtek beads and antique Tibetan singing bowls. His knowledge has guided some of the most special pieces we've brought to DharmaShop over the years.
