Desktop Sanscrit Prayer Wheel

  |

All around stupas and Buddhist centers in Nepal you see prayer wheels like this one. We scaled it down a bit to fit on your desk. Spin clockwise whenever you feel the need to improve your karma :) Prayer Wheels are used daily by monks and laypersons alike in all Tibetan Buddhist communities. The outside of the wheel has the mantra 'Om Mani Padme Hung' (Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus) This is the mantra of Chenrezig, the Buddha of compassion. Inside the prayer wheel are scrolls containing this mantra. Every time the wheel is turned it releases all of these mantras into the heavens.
