Large Temple Style Prayer Wheel

  |
  • From Buddhist centers and temples, to monasteries and stupas, prayer wheels are turned clockwise to release prayers and mantras into the heavens.
  • This large temple style prayer wheel is framed inside of an intricately hand carved wooden base, and can be mounted either indoors or in a protected outdoor area.
  • It also looks great placed on a shelf or altar space!

The outside of the wheel features the 8 Auspicious symbols along with 4 lines of the mantra of compassion, Om Mani Padme Hum, written in Sanskrit script.  This mantra invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion.  The top of the wheel can opened to reveal large paper scrolls inside that contain this mantra and prayers which multiply with each turn.

Spin the wheel clockwise whenever you feel the need to improve your karma.  We hope it brings you continuous good wishes and joy!

The wooden base measures approximately 15 inches tall and 10.5 inches wide.  The wheel itself measures about 11 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter.  Handmade in Nepal.
