This mala bag is beautiful with red brocade. It is about 3x as large as I needed for my mala so when they say "Large" they mean "LARGE". If you have an average size mala, this bag will be more than ample. I think I could have got a small bag to hold my mala. I could also fit 4 or 5 malas together in this bag but I fear they'd be tangled and I think that may be improper etiquette to store more than one mala in a bag. Not sure on that but with the other Tibetan tradition etiquette I have learned about, it makes sense to me that the rule of one mala per mala bag probably holds.
