8 Auspicious Symbols Tingshas

3 reviews   |

Tingshas are used by Buddhists as sound offerings or as a way to clear space prior to meditation.  These tingshas are decorated with the 8 Auspicious Symbols.

In Buddhist legend, the 8 symbols represent offerings the gods made to the Buddha after his enlightenment.  It is believed that each of these symbols have powers to bring blessings for which people include these in paintings, textiles, homes, and wherever else possible.

Handmade in Nepal and hand picked for their clear, long, sustaining tones.  Attached with leather cord.

Tingshas measure about 2 3/4 inches in diameter.

I love the clarity of sound note this set of tingshas makes. This is a sturdy, and beautifully made tingshas and the sound is clear with a very long resonance. Perfect to begin my focus for meditation. I will order from your company again very soon. Thank you! Diane G.
