Excellent craftsmanship! The cord was stiff at first but after a few days it loosened up. Great piece!
An elegant piece!
As someone wrote beforehand, it exceeded my expectations. It is a gift for my husband. Definitely has a masculine look to it. Very well knotted for durability and it does have a wonderful vibe about it. I can't wait to give it to him.
The Rudraksha Beads are outstanding used in the necklace. I've looked at different sites and am very pleased choosing this piece from dharma shop. The hand-wrapped packaging, the detail of the knots, the quality of the necklace and workmanship are great. I've wanted to pick up a Mala necklace for awhile, searched sites and knew this one was the "right" fit. You cant go wrong and will be equally impressed when you open the package. Thank you everyone at dharma shop!
This is the second time I've purchased this Mala...I still wear the first and daily, and got the second one 'just in case'...That I get routine compliments on it is only to illustrate the attractiveness of these old Rudraksha beads; their significance and utility in Practice are of more import. Simply put, they're great!
Doctor R., thank you for taking the time to write a review and including photos! We are so happy to hear that you're enjoying your mala so much that you decided to purchase another one. We hope it continues to bring something special to your practice. Thanks again for your feedback and continued support!
While I don't wear my old rudraksha bead mala for the complements, I receive them often...this mala is stunning in it's simplicity and natural beauty, and is all I will ever need in the way of a proper Buddhist mantra mala. My patients ask me about it regularly, and it provides me with a great opportunity to espouse the virtues of Buddhist Philosophy. My mala has been worn just about every day for several years now, and it's still as wonderful as the day I got it; the dark stained beads, which I personally prefer, are strung on a nice strong cord...it's clearly built to last! But who can tell...maybe it will be lost, or stolen! That's why I just purchased another one...just in case!! Namaste, Doctor Randy P.S. Do consider taking another picture of this awesome mala being worn...however, please note the guru bead and knot are to be worn at the top behind the neck, not down in front. I didn't know either, and learned the proper way from a Buddhist Monk in China.
Doctor Randy, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We're so glad to hear that you're still loving your mala after all this time! We understand that the photograph does show the mala upside down, however, we like to make sure to show the guru bead and knot so that customers know that the mala does have that feature rather than being strung on a stretchy style cord. Thanks so much for your feedback and support, we appreciate it!
