Cord is hand knotted along the top with a naga shell button and loop closure to secure. There are many styles and sizes of naga shell beads available in Kathmandu that all come from Nagaland and are highly prized by Tibetans. These beads are definitely unique!
The naga/conch shell represents the fame of the Buddha's teaching which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet. It is a symbol which fearlessly proclaims the truth of the dharma.
