Exclusive Discount Traditional Bone Wrist Mala

2   |

Exclusive discounted price!  Materials are true and authentic, but this wrist mala has been discounted due to some of the beads being in imperfect condition (see photographs).  The traditional bone beads are hand inlaid with copper and white metal.  Each bead is entirely unique, but has gone through some wear and tear during the storage and shipping process from Nepal.  Nevertheless, these bone beads and their flaws allow us to further reflect upon the Buddhist teachings of impermanence.  They serve as a reminder to live in the present moment; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.

A note about bone beads:  Tibetan nomadic life is hard, and in the cold there is little to eat.  Water buffalo is a main staple in Nepal and Tibet and when an animal is used for food or dies naturally, nothing is wasted.  These amazing bone beads are hand inlaid by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.

Adjustable wrist mala measures approximately 6 inches at its tightest, and can open to about 10 inches.  Beads are 8mm.  Handmade in Nepal.

lovely malas

I offer half day silent retreats and am gravitating towards encouraging participants to create their own mantras/prayers. I am giving malas to each person who attends a retreat so that they can practice contemplation/meditation at stop signs or when doing dishes, etc. Feedback so far is that they are excellent reminders and are helping those who wear them by reminding them to let go of the small stuff, and it's all small stuff. The price is right and they are sweet malas. I will be back for more. The staff are very nice as well as having great products.

I bought two and I cannot believe how beautiful they are...I intended to give one as a gift at Christmas but I did not want it to get lost in the mayhem so I am saving for my sister's birthday...I love it
