Gold Ganesh Terracotta Incense Burner

This beautiful terracotta Ganesh incense burner is handmade by potters in Thimi, a city close to Kathmandu.  It is hand cast and fired before being painted this bright gold color.  Features one large hole for Tibetan incense and two smaller holes for tinier Japanese style incense sticks.  The floral base is designed to collect the ash as the incense burns.

One of the most well-known and worshipped deities, Ganesh is known as the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences, and the deity of intellect and wisdom.  Because he is honored as the god of beginnings, keeping this Ganesh incense burner near you will assure for a peaceful environment for undertaking new endeavors without obstacles.

Burner measures approximately 4 inches tall with a 4 inch wide base.  Handmade in Nepal.

    Nice incense burner

    You can use this with two types of incense sticks, which is very good. The statue of Ganesh is quite nice, but the base does not always catch all the burnt ash from the incense. Perhaps the leaf base could have been slightly larger to do so.
