Our new etched Tibetan singing bowl is incredibly detailed, and was hand picked in Kathmandu from a stunning collection of carved singing bowls. It is cast, hammered, polished, and etched entirely by hand. The inside base of the bowl features an image of Amitabha Buddha sitting upon a lotus with the repeated mantra of compassion in Tibetan script, Om Mani Padme Hum, decorating the inside rim.
Abitabha represents love and compassion, and is often depicted sitting on a lotus throne with his hands in the dhyana mudra. As head of the Lotus family, he represents gentleness and openness.
The outside rim of the bowl is decorated with the compassion mantra in beautifully detailed lotus petals. The bottom of the bowl features a six-sided star with Om Mani Padme Hum in each outer triangle, and the seed, Hrih, in the center. Hrih, is the seed syllable of Amitabha.
Bowl measures approximately 11 inches in diameter and is about 5 inches deep. Handmade in Nepal.
