Miracle Bodhi Seed Mala

  • This past year we found an unopened box from Kathmandu that was almost 20 years old.  In it we found a handful of spectacular 11mm bodhi seed malas.  You can look everywhere you want in Kathmandu right now and not find beads of this size and quality for this price.
  • We restrung and oiled the beads right here at the DharmaShop, adding a brass dorje and two Tibetan skulls to finish this incredible find.
  • Mala features 108 beads from the 1990s that are strung on durable black cord.

Bodhi seed beads can be used for counting all types of mantras as well as other prayers.  These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom.  "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.

Beautiful Piece

Item is a beautiful colour, is very well assembled and has quality metal accents. Not a cheap piece by any means. I have been using for 3 weeks now and my toddler has taken a keen interest and swiped it a few times. It has held up to rigorous testing. Has a great energy. Very calming piece.

Easier to use than I thought

I normally use a 5 mm mala. I was very attracted to the beauty of the bodhi seed mala, but thought it would be bulky. Still I got it. And now I love it. It’s great for mandala offering, I’m such a klutz at holding both the pan and mala, but the 11mm bodhi seeds make it a breeze. I can rip though 100 in no time! Overall it’s a very satisfying mala to use - the color of the wood, it’s smooth feel, and just knowing I’m connected to Shakyamuni makes using it very pleasant. Definitely supports my practice.

Simply Wonderful

Dharma shop has always excelled at offering quality products. This mala has brought me much peace and happiness in the few days I’ve had it. The seeds are gorgeously smooth and full of deep, gorgeous, dark caramel grain. I oiled them with coconut oil and Tulsi and they just SMILED back at me. The cord they’ve chosen to string these on feels durable and strong and the brass accents have a nice weight to them. At the risk of “overwriting” this review, I would like to say that I have been looking for this quality for quite some time and am very please with these beads. I prayed on my rudraksha mala for about 10 faithful years but felt that they had gotten a but tired and worn. So finding a mala to replace such a special set of beads means a lot. Also, the great thing about this company is it’s dedication to providing the BEST customer service. Gotta give it to them- they know what they’re all about. Namasté.
