Tingshas are used by Buddhists as sound offerings or as a way to clear space prior to meditation.
These tinghsas are decorated with the mantra of compassion, Om Mani Padme Hum. Tibetan Buddhists believe that saying the mantra out loud or silently to oneself, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. Viewing the written form of the mantra is said to have the same effect.
Handmade in Nepal and hand picked for their clear, long, sustaining tones. Attached with leather cord.
