Boudhanath Stupa Prayer Flags

20 reviews   |
  • We fell head over heels in love with these flags on our trip to Nepal in 2015.
  • We saw them flying at Boudhanath stupa and asked where we could find the people who made the flags.  As it turned out, they were made by a small shop we have been frequenting for over a decade!
  • These polyester flags are silk screen printed by hand and sewn onto very sturdy cotton rope.

Each flag features its own design - Blue is Peace: a Windhorse.  Green is Prosperity: Tara.  Red is Compassion: Chenrezig.  White is Purification: Vajrasattva Shakti.  Yellow is Knowledge: Guru Padmasambhava.  Each flag will also have the mantras and prayers associated with that deity or symbol written in Tibetan script.

Set includes 10 flags that measure approximately 12 by 14 inches.  Entire strand measures about 12 feet long.  Handmade of polyester in Nepal.

beautiful flags

Really lovely pale silk flags that fly across my back deck and reflect in the patio door so that myself and my neighbors can enjoy them.

A New Twist on Prayer Flags

When I saw these, I wanted to get them because they looked different from prayer flags I am used to. When they arrived, I was not disappointed. They add a lovely contrast to my other prayer flags. May the wind carry these messagers of goodness and compassion to all sentient beings everywhere!
