This is a very eclectic and bold wrist mala! It contains hand carved, skull-shaped bone beads, along with bodhi seeds inlaid with brass, copper, silver, coral, and turquoise chips, as well as other inlaid bone beads. Makes for a very unique accessory! These bone beads, and the skull beads especially, allow us to further reflect upon the Buddhist teachings of impermanence. They serve as a reminder to live in the present moment and be here now; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.
A note about bone beads: Tibetan nomadic life is hard, and in the cold there is little to eat. Water buffalo is a main staple in Nepal and Tibet and when an animal is used for food nothing is wasted. These amazing bone beads are hand inlaid by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.
Adjustable wrist mala can fit wrists from 5 to 9 inches around. Contains 4 skull bone beads, 6 bodhi seed beads, and 10 inlaid bone beads.
