- This amazing bodhi seed mala was purchased directly by our team on their last trip to Kathmandu. It is a bold and traditional mala that has only gotten better with age!
- Made of 108 small, well used dark bodhi beads. Each bead is rich in color with a beautiful sheen. Strung on red cord with long simple dangles in the traditional manner. The stringing is slightly loose, making it great for counting mantras.
- These dark-speckled seed beads have special meaning for all seekers of divine wisdom. "Bodhi" in Sanskrit means enlightenment; as an "enlightened" seed, many practitioners use these malas for their essence and inherent teachings within each seed.
On their trip to Nepal in March, DharmaShop owner, Christy Cohen, with our photographer and product specialist, Erica, acquired this mala from a Tibetan gentleman in the ancient city of Bhaktapur. He had a small, yet beautiful collection of vintage and antique bodhi malas from which Christy and Erica were able to source a few special pieces.
Mala measures approximately 44 inches around. Beads are about 10-12mm. Includes vintage mala bag from Nepal.
