A simple, clean white water buffalo bone bead wrist mala. Strung on durable woven red cord with a traditional sliding Tibetan knot. All hand crafted in Kathmandu, Nepal.
A note about bone usage: the bone beads are made from water buffalo. In the Himalayas it is typical for large animals such as yak and water buffalo to be used for service and then slaughtered for food, clothing, utensils, and ritual items. Given the limited resources and religious practices in the region none of the animal goes to waste.
Adjustable wrist mala opens from approximately 7 to 9 inches. Includes 8mm beads and a 10mm guru bead.
