Windhorse Impermanence Mala

  • We were able to source only one of these incredible Windhorse pendants from Nepal!  It is made of hand carved water buffalo bone, set in sterling silver, and full of intricate detail.
  • Our jewelry specialist strung the one-of-a-kind pendant with 108 naturally stained bone beads each separated by a spacer.  This gives the mala a hand knotted feel that is great for meditation.
  • These amazing bone beads are handcrafted by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.  They are a great reminder of impermanence and for recognizing the importance of living in the present moment.

The Windhorse is a popular symbol in Tibetan culture.  It represents well-being and good fortune.  A Wind Horse is symbolic of the mind and the wind is its vehicle, therefore it can be ridden upon.  This means that we all have the possibility of controlling the mind and can guide it towards any directly at any speed we wish.

Mala measures approximately 37 inches around with an adjustable knot.  Beads are about 10mm.  Pendant is about 3.25 inches long and 1.5 inches wide.
