Beautiful pieces of turquoise are hand set into this nicely hinged silver plated bracelet. The centerpiece features the wisdom eyes of Buddha design with the mantra of compassion, 'om mani padre hung,' in Tibetan script on either side of it.
The wisdom eyes look out in the four directions to symbolize the omniscience of a Buddha; they are so prevalent throughout the country that they have become a symbol of Nepal itself. The compassion mantra invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion.
Bracelet measures approximately 6 inches around. The extension and loop closure measures about 1 1/2 inches total, giving the bracelet a total circumference of about 7 1/2 inches. Handmade in Nepal.
